Tufted Linen and Natural Birch Ottoman
Constructed with a natural birch base and a tufted linen upholstered top, this ottoman brings together structural clarity and softened surface detail. The linen is produced using a slub yarn, characterized by intentional variations in thickness that introduce subtle irregularity across the surface. These shifts create quiet visual depth and a softened hand, allowing the textile to feel organic rather than uniform. Historically emerging from inconsistencies in early manual spinning, slub textures are now deliberately formed through uneven fiber twisting prior to weaving, preserving material honesty and restrained character. Traditional tufting shapes the surface with rhythm and control, while the birch frame remains visually legible beneath, grounding the piece through proportion and restrained curvature.
The structure is articulated through turned legs and a gently arched stretcher, providing balance while maintaining openness. The upholstered surface rests cleanly above the frame, allowing material contrast to remain clear and composed. Hand-finishing preserves subtle variation across both wood and textile, reinforcing durability and a direct relationship to material and process.

Common Questions
Common Questions
How does delivery work?
Delivery is free on every order in the lower 48. Furniture ships white-glove: the delivery team schedules a window with you, carries the piece to its room, places it where it belongs, and removes all packaging. Smaller items, such as dining chairs, counter stools, lighting, rugs, and decor, ship free via FedEx or UPS.
How long until my piece arrives?
The estimated ship window is listed near the price above. Furniture is delivered in-home and typically arrives within two to four weeks, and the delivery team contacts you to schedule. Smaller items usually ship within a few business days with tracking.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
Close, but never identical. Each piece is hand-finished from natural and reclaimed materials, so grain, tone, and markings vary. That variation is what makes the piece yours.
Can I see the materials before I buy?
Yes. We mail free leather, fabric, and finish samples. Use the Request a Free Sample button above and we will send them to your door.
What if it arrives damaged?
Every piece is inspected before it ships. If anything arrives damaged, send us photos within 48 hours and we will repair, replace, or make it right at no cost.
